“Top notch guide in Mohiddin, PHD in Asian studies and perfect English. He really went deep into some of the historical areas we were interested while offering some humour, personal stories as well as great restaurant recommendations. We were challenged with an EU summit which closed roads and delayed openings, but Moiddin did a great job adjusting schedule and routes to stay ahead of delegations 🙏”

Zarshed was an amazing guide and driver, very knowledgeable about all historic facts and I learned a lot from him about the region and about Uzbekistan during the tour. He perfectly tailored the tour for me and he had great recommendations ( I loved the stop in the mountains at Katta Tosh Tandir, the best lamb I ever had, a great place with a phantastic view).”

Can I complain about a private tour for $20? Of course not. My guide, Alyor, even gave me a ride in his car between the sites. I would recommend.”

Review of a private Samarkand to Shahrisabz day trip, with mountain views, Amir Timur sites, guide tips, costs, and practical advice.

“The scenery on the drive to and from Shahrisabz was absolutely stunning. We made multiple photo stops and climbed on some of the boulders. We also made a stop at the "Valley of Demons" / "Devils Helmet" for some very special views. The city itself was also nice, although the amount of souvenir vendors who all sell the exact same items was bothersome. We would recommend going earlier in the year as it was very hot, but still okay, just bring a lot of water. Our guide was also very nice. Overall it was a good experience.”
